The Ontario Secondary School Diploma is an official Canadian credential awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Education. It is accepted by universities in Canada, the USA, UK, Australia, and beyond.
Open to students aged 14 and above. No prior Canadian education required. Students can join with transcripts from their home country and continue their studies online or in person.
Students must earn 30 credits in total — 18 compulsory and 12 optional. Subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Canadian History, and electives of your choice.
Study online at your own pace or through a registered Ontario school. Most students complete the diploma in 1–3 years depending on prior credits and study intensity.
OSSD holders can apply directly to universities in Canada, the UK, Australia, USA, and many other countries. It is one of the most versatile credentials for international university entry.
